It's so nice you've found me! If you're as passionate about beautiful, natural products as much as I am, you are definitely in the right place. Hi, I'm Makila! I'm an Australian living in Switzerland together with my husband we are raising our two boys. I am a qualified Beauty Therapist who has always loved experimenting and making my own natural products. So many products on the market are full of harsh chemicals that are toxic. Recent years of stress called me to review things in my life. I turned to essential oils and wellness at home to help me cope. This along with my desire over the years to create my own products led me to take a leap of courage and faith and start my business 'Akuna Florals'.
My aim is to bring you peace and relaxation to your mind, body and soul with natural, chemical free products that are handmade with love.

Meaning behind the name
I searched for a name that reflected my Australian heritage and the reason behind starting this brand. In that search, I came across the word Akuna, believed to originate from an Australian Aboriginal word associated with flowing water. The name symbolizes movement, life, and the natural flow of the world.
At a time when parts of my life felt as though they were falling apart, this meaning resonated deeply with me. It reminded me to keep moving forward rather than remain stagnant. Like flowing water, progress happens step by step. Take that step toward your dream, and never give up.
